CD SHELF

A wall-mounted shelving unit for approximately 2,000 CDs, intentionally designed to appear as an integral part of the wall itself. By using specialized mounting hardware, the space required for fittings and a backing panel was reduced to a minimum, resulting in a rear surface that visually merges with the existing wall.

Behind its deliberately minimalist appearance lies a precisely engineered construction. Detachable spring steel connectors provide a stable yet demountable connection between the individual elements. In combination with a high-quality panel material, this ensures that the shelving unit can reliably support the considerable weight of the CDs over time.

At the same time, the construction remains consistently reduced. There are no visible screws or additional coverings required. The technical solution recedes entirely behind the clear, calm aesthetic of the piece, wherein precisely lies its quality.
